FILM BUGS is specifically designed for children aged 7-11, providing them with a unique opportunity to begin their exciting journey into the magical and captivating world of filmmaking. During this program, young filmmakers will have the chance to create their very own films, unleashing their creativity and imagination. At the end of the year, they will have the unforgettable experience of walking the red carpet to watch their film on the big screen, surrounded by friends and family. Throughout the program, children will learn essential filmmaking skills alongside their friends and peers, fostering teamwork and collaboration as they bring their exciting visions to life. ADELAIDE FILM ACADEMY is designed specifically for children aged 12 to 17. In this immersive environment, participants will learn and develop more advanced skills in all aspects of filmmaking, from scriptwriting to cinematography. This course is an excellent opportunity for those children who already possess some foundational knowledge of filmmaking; however, it is also very welcoming to beginners, as filmmaking is inherently a collaborative art form. Young filmmakers can gain invaluable insights and skills from the diverse perspectives of their peers, fostering a rich learning experience. Filmmaking introduces children learn to trust their own ideas, develop perseverance, empathy, teamwork, to feel confident in their own ability and develop the confidence they need to tackle the challenging situations they are confronted within life.
GREAT EXPERIENCES
Students will create at least 4 short films each year, which will involve using, cameras, lights, scripting, editing, props and costumes. Students will have the opportunity to watch their films on the big screen at an end of year event
